तापत्रयार्कसंतप्तः कश्चिदुद्विग्नमानसः ।शमादिसाधनैर्युक्तः सद्गुरुं परिपृच्छति ॥ ३ ॥

Scorched by the scorching sun of life's threefold miseries, his mind deeply agitated, yet equipped with serenity and the other disciplines, a seeker approaches a true preceptor with earnest questions.
