The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 197

सर्वभूतात्मके तात जगन्नाथे जगन्मये ।परमात्मनि गोविन्दे मित्रामित्रकथा कुतः ॥

In plain words

Dear one — in Govinda, whose very Self is every being that exists, the Lord of the world, the world itself, the Supreme Self: where would talk of friend and enemy even come from?

Close to the Sanskrit

In him who has all beings as his Self, dear one, in the Lord of the world, in him who consists of the world, in the Supreme Self, in Govinda — whence any talk of friend and enemy?
