The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 207

प्रियहितवचनोऽस्तमानमायो वसति सदा हृदि तस्य वासुदेवः ॥

In plain words

The one whose words are kind and actually do good, in whom pride and pretense have gone down like a sun that has set — in that heart Vāsudeva lives, always.

Close to the Sanskrit

He whose speech is kind and beneficial, in whom pride and guile have set — in his heart Vāsudeva always dwells.
