The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 226

In plain words

Let his Name be spoken even by someone with no hold on himself — and the moment it is spoken, every sin lets go of the man at once, the way deer bolt when a lion appears.

Close to the Sanskrit

When whose Name is uttered, even by one who is not in control of himself, a man is at once released from all sins, as by deer terrified by a lion.
