In plain words
Vindaḥ: 'I indeed am the lord of the celestials, and you have attained supremacy over cows; thus will the worlds praise you eternally on earth as Govinda.' As the Harivamsa further explains: 'Gau is sacred speech, and because You comprehend it fully, O God, the sages call You Govinda.' Gau signifies speech, and because He knows it, He is Govid; and because He is the supreme lord of those who know speech, He is the Lord of the Knowers of Speech.
