In plain words
He is Hiranyanabha, named for his golden or delightful navel. He is Sutapa, who performs intense and splendid austerities in the form of Nara and Narayana at Badarikashrama, fulfilling the Smriti declaration that the one-pointed control of mind and senses is supreme penance. He is Padmanābha, whose navel is perfectly round like a lotus, or who shines radiantly at the center of the heart-lotus. And He is Prajāpati, the Lord and Father of all created beings.
Close to the Sanskrit
Hiraṇyanābhaḥ, or because of having a beneficial and delightful navel. Sutapāḥ, because He practices splendid austerity in the form of Nara and Narayana at Badarikashrama; from the Smriti: 'Indeed the one-pointedness of the mind and senses is supreme austerity.' Padmanābhaḥ, because His navel is very round like a lotus, or because of shining in the middle of the heart-lotus; grammatical correctness is due to the pṛṣodara class. Prajāpatiḥ is the father and lord of creatures.
