The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 36

अतिपातकयुक्तोऽपि ध्यायन्निमिषमच्युतम् ।भूयस्तपस्वी भवति पङ्क्तिपावनपावनः ॥

In plain words

Even a man loaded with the worst sins there are — let him hold Acyuta in mind for the space of a blink, and he becomes an ascetic beyond ascetics: the one who purifies even those whose presence purifies the row.

Close to the Sanskrit

Even one joined with the gravest sin, meditating for the blink of an eye on Acyuta, becomes exceedingly an ascetic, a purifier of the purifiers of the row.
