The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 376

तद्वान् वेगवान्, 'अनेजदेकं मनसो जवीयः' इति श्रुतेः ।संहारसमये विश्वमश्नातीति अमिताशनः ॥

In plain words

That speed is his, so he is Vegavān, the Swift One — and the śruti says it plainly: unmoving, one, swifter than mind. When dissolution comes he eats the whole universe; so he is Amitāśana, whose eating has no measure.

Close to the Sanskrit

Possessing that, He is Vegavān — because of the śruti, 'unmoving, one, swifter than the mind.' At the time of dissolution He consumes the whole universe; thus, Amitāśana.
