In plain words
He is the all-seeing, perfectly liberated self, omniscient, and supreme knowledge. Because he is the very essence of every sacrifice, he is sacrifice itself; or operating through sacrificial forms, he fulfills all the gods, for scripture declares: 'Sacrifice is indeed Vishnu.' He alone is to be adored, as the Harivamsa says: 'Those who worship deities and ancestors with pure rites are truly worshipping Vishnu, the self, through the self.' He stands supreme among all objects of worship because he grants liberation as his fruit. He is the great ritual, the sacrificial session defined by scriptural injunction, and the ultimate refuge for seekers since there is no other destination. He witnesses the entire tapestry of action and inaction in all beings through his innate awareness, making him the all-seeing. His nature is eternal freedom, rendering him the liberated self, as scripture affirms: 'Being liberated, he attains liberation.' He is all-knowing because he is both everything and consciousness itself. 'Supreme knowledge' is his qualified name—unsurpassed, uncreated, infinite, and the ultimate means to all ends; thus supreme knowledge is Brahman, in accordance with the shruti: 'Brahman is truth, knowledge, and infinity.'

The all-seeing, completely liberated self, omniscient, supreme knowledge. Because of being the very nature of all sacrifice, he is the sacrifice; or functioning as sacrifice he is the grantor of gratification to all gods, according to the Vedic text 'Sacrifice is indeed Vishnu.' He is worthy of worship because he alone is to be worshipped; as stated in the Harivamsa: 'Those who worship deities and ancestors with pure sacrifices, always worship Vishnu alone, the self, by the self.' He is the most worthy of worship among all objects of worship because he grants the fruit of liberation, hence he is the supreme object of adoration. The sacrifice accompanied by sacrificial posts is a major rite. A sacrificial session is one that approaches according to injunctive rules, or because it protects beings from suffering. He is the refuge of the good because there is no other destination for spiritual aspirants. Because he sees all actions and inactions of all living beings with his innate awareness, he is the all-seeing. One whose self is naturally liberated, and who is both liberated and the self, is the liberated self, according to the text 'Being liberated, he is liberated.' Being both all and knowing, he is the all-knowing, according to the text 'All this is indeed this self.' This is one qualified name 'supreme knowledge'; knowledge is preeminent, unproduced, unlimited, and the most effective means to everything, hence supreme knowledge is Brahman, according to the Vedic text 'Brahman is truth, knowledge, infinity.'
