मनोहरो जितक्रोधो वीरबाहुर्विदारणः ॥ ६२ ॥शोभनं व्रतमस्येति सुव्रतः ।'सकृदेव प्रपन्नाय तवास्मीति च याचते ।अभयं सर्वथा तस्मै ददाम्येतद्व्रतं मम' इति श्रीरामायणे रामवचनम् ।शोभनं मुखमस्येति सुमुखः ।

Manohara — he takes the mind away with him. Jitakrodha — anger has no hold on him. Vīrabāhu — his arms are a hero's arms. Vidāraṇa — he tears apart whatever stands against the good. (62) His vow is auspicious, and so he is called Suvrata. In the Śrī Rāmāyaṇa, Rāma says it himself: 'Whoever comes to me even once, and asks only this — I am yours — to him I give fearlessness, completely. That is my vow.' His face is beautiful, and so he is called Sumukha.
