The one who lays beings down into sleep. The one under no control but His own. The one spread through everything. Not one self — countless selves. Not one deed — countless deeds. He is the year itself. He is tender the way a cow is tender toward her calf; the calves are His own. Jewels lie in His womb, and all wealth answers to Him.
