In plain words

He is Gohita, the benefactor, or one who assumes a bodily form out of the wish to descend and lift the earth's heavy burden. He is Gopati, the lord of the earth. He is Goptṛ, the protector of the universe, or one who veils his true nature through his own wondrous power. He is Vṛṣabhākṣa, whose eyes rain down all fulfillments, or whose very vision is righteousness. He is Vṛṣapriya, to whom righteousness is supremely dear; and the order of the compound follows the grammatical rule allowing optional placement.

Close to the Sanskrit

Beneficial, hence Gohita; or Gohita because he takes on a body out of the desire to descend and remove the burden of the earth. Gopati, because he is the lord of the earth. Goptṛ, because he is the protector of the world; or because by his own māyā he conceals his own true self. Vṛṣabhākṣa, because his two eyes shower all desires, or because righteousness itself is his vision. Vṛṣapriya, because righteousness is dear to him; due to the rule permitting optional prior placement of a dear word, the placement is subsequent; or because he is both vṛṣa and dear.
