निःक्षत्रियां यश्च चकार मेदिनीमनेकशो बाहुवनं तथाच्छिनत् ।यः कार्तवीर्यस्य स भार्गवोत्तमो ममास्तु माङ्गल्यविवृद्धये हरिः ॥
In plain words
Again and again he emptied the earth of its warrior kings, and he felled the forest of Kārtavīrya's arms. May that Hari, the finest of Bhṛgu's line, make every good thing in my life grow.

And he who made the earth devoid of kṣatriyas, many times over, and who likewise cut down the forest of Kārtavīrya's arms — may that Hari, foremost of the Bhārgavas, be for the increase of my auspiciousness.
