नानाच्छन्दोगतिपथो गुह्योपनिषदासनः ।छाया पत्नीसहायो वै मणिमेरुरिवोच्छ्रितः ॥फलहेतुभूतान्यज्ञान् वाहयतीति यज्ञवाहनः ॥

The metres of the Veda are the roads he travels; the secret Upaniṣad is the seat he sits on. Chāyā, his consort, stands beside him, and he towers like Meru cut from jewels. He carries the sacrifices — the very rites that yield their fruits — onward: and so he is Yajñavāhana, the bearer of sacrifice.
