The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 606

ऋषयः पितरो देवा महाभूतानि धातवः ।जङ्गमाजङ्गमं चेदं जगन्नारायणोद्भवम् ॥ १३८ ॥

In plain words

The seers, the ancestors, the gods, the great elements, the substances that hold everything together — and this whole world, all that moves and all that stands still — every bit of it rises out of Nārāyaṇa.

Close to the Sanskrit

The seers, the fathers, the gods, the great elements, the constituents — and this world, moving and unmoving, has Nārāyaṇa as its origin.
