। ॥ १०३ ॥
In plain words
Blindness, poor sight, or keen sight — these belong to the eye, depending on whether it is sound or damaged. In the same way, deafness and muteness belong to the ear and the other organs — never to the Self who simply knows.
Close to the Sanskrit
Blindness, dullness, sharpness are properties of the eye, due to its good or bad condition; similarly deafness, dumbness, and so on are properties of the ear and so on — not of the knowing Self.
