In plain words
The pot, though it is something clay produces, is never actually separate from clay — everywhere it exists, it exists only as clay. There is no separate 'pot-form' anywhere apart from that. So how could the pot be anything but a name we made up, and nothing more?
Close to the Sanskrit
Though being a product of clay, the pot is not different from clay; it exists everywhere, indeed, from the essential nature of clay. The pot-form does not exist separately; how, then, is the pot [anything] but merely a name, falsely conceived?
