एतावुपाधी परजीवयोस्तयोःसम्यङ् निरासे न परो न जीवः ।राज्यं नरेन्द्रस्य भटस्य खेटक -स्तयोरपोहे न भटो न राजा ॥ २४६ ॥

In plain words

Take away a king's kingdom and a soldier's shield, and what's left is no longer 'a king' or 'a soldier' — just a man. Take away the two coverings worn by God and the individual soul, and what remains is neither 'God' nor 'the individual' — only the one reality that was always underneath both names.

Close to the Sanskrit

These two — Māyā and the five sheaths — are the limiting adjuncts of Para and the jīva; when those two are thoroughly negated, there is neither Para nor jīva. [As] the kingdom is [the adjunct] of the king, the shield [the adjunct] of the soldier — when those two are removed, there is no soldier and no king.
