In plain words
How, someone might ask, could a person ever stop grasping at what appears, while still identified with the body, mind caught up in tasting external things, busy doing this and that? The answer: it is a discipline for knowers of truth who have set aside every duty, action, and sense-object, who devote themselves wholly to constant dwelling in the Self, who long for the everlasting bliss found only there - and it takes real, sustained effort.
Close to the Sanskrit
How can non-grasping of the perceived be possible for one identified with the body, whose mind is engrossed in experiencing external objects and who performs various actions? It must be undertaken with effort in the Self by knowers of truth who have renounced all duties, actions and sense-objects, who are devoted to constant Self-abidance and desire eternal bliss.
