In plain words
Calm, senses gathered in, withdrawn from the pull of the world, endlessly patient, the ascetic who lives in unbroken absorption comes to know, over and over, that he himself is the Self of everything there is. In that knowing the confusions born of ignorance's darkness burn away completely, and he simply lives as Brahman — at rest, doing nothing, free of every distinction.
Close to the Sanskrit
Tranquil, self-controlled, utterly withdrawn, endowed with forbearance, ever practicing samādhi, the ascetic perceives his own nature as the Self of all; by that, having thoroughly burnt away the distinctions born of the darkness of ignorance, he dwells happily in the form of Brahman, actionless, free of mental constructs.
