। ॥ ३९७ ॥

In plain words

While you take this corpse-like body to be yourself, impurity remains. Other people bring you suffering; so do birth, death, disease and the hells. When you recognize your own Self as pure, auspicious and unmoving, you are free of these. Scripture affirms this too.

Close to the Sanskrit

As long as a person identifies with the corpse-like body, he remains impure and suffers affliction from others, as well as birth, death, disease and hells. When he recognizes the Self as pure, auspicious and unmoving, he is freed from these; scripture too declares this.
