। - ॥ ४१७ ॥
In plain words
Let the body go or let it stay — it is only carried along by momentum already set in motion, like a garland hanging on a cow's neck that the cow never even notices. The one who knows the Truth has let his mind dissolve into blissful Brahman; he simply doesn't look at the body anymore.
Close to the Sanskrit
Let the body, strung on the thread of prārabdha, depart or remain — like a garland on a cow. The knower of Truth, whose mental modifications have dissolved into the blissful Brahman, no longer regards it.
