Verse 459

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

The body is what karma built — so if prārabdha belongs anywhere, let it belong to the body. It makes no sense at all to pin it on the Self, which has no beginning. The Self was never something karma made in the first place.

Close to the Sanskrit

The body is made by karma; let prārabdha be attributed to it. It is not fitting [to attribute prārabdha] to the beginningless Self; the Self is never made by karma.
