In plain words

Out of confusion, people project the gross, subtle, and causal conditions onto me through an appearance they themselves impose. So too we mark off cosmic cycles, years, the sun’s half-year courses, seasons, and other divisions in Time, though Time itself is partless and undivided.

Close to the Sanskrit

The states beginning with the gross [body] are imagined in me by people, out of delusion, through a superimposed appearing, just as the divisions of kalpa, year, ayana, season, and so on [are imposed] upon Time, which is itself partless and undifferentiated.
