In plain words
Just saying the name of a medicine never cured anyone — you have to actually drink it. In the same way, no amount of talk about Brahman will free you; only direct experience of it will.
Close to the Sanskrit
A disease does not depart merely from the utterance of the word 'medicine', without [actually] drinking it. Without direct experience, one is not liberated by [mere] words about Brahman.
