The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Yatipañcakam

Verse 3

In plain words

Scrubbing away every last trace of 'I am this body and its gear,' seeing the Self in the Self alone, holding no thought of an end, a middle, or an outside — those who own nothing but a loincloth: they are the fortunate ones.

Close to the Sanskrit

Wiping away completely the notion of body and the rest, beholding the Self within the Self, remembering neither end nor middle nor outside — the wearers of the loincloth are indeed the fortunate ones.
