Those established in the first three grounds are practitioners, not yet liberated. Those in the later grounds are distinguished as Brahmavid-vara, Brahmavid-varīyān and Brahmavid-variṣṭha, varieties of jīvanmukta. The knower who reaches the middle, fourth ground is the pure Brahmavid. I shall tell you still more of the greatness of these stages.
