In plain words
Dispassion is of three degrees: mild, intense and supremely intense. When suffering strikes and one temporarily turns against family life, it is mild. To renounce spouse and wealth for the remainder of this body is intense. To see even the highest celestial worlds as mithyā and turn from them is supremely intense dispassion.
