In plain words
The six are śama, dama, withdrawal, endurance, collectedness and faith. Śama is mastery of the inner instrument; dama, mastery of the outer senses. Withdrawal is relinquishing attachment to action that perpetuates bondage. Endurance is remaining steady when desire and the other forces of disturbance arise.
