Paragraph 11
In plain words
The vāsanās for objects have come down from ancient times. They seem countless, like the waves of the sea. Yet every one of them perishes as meditation on your true nature grows stronger and stronger. Do not give room even to the doubt, "Can all those vāsanās really subside, so that I remain as my true nature alone?" Hold on to meditation on your true nature and do not let go. However great a sinner someone may be, let him not weep and lament, "I am a sinner; how will I ever be saved?" Let him root out completely even the thought that he is a sinner, and give himself eagerly to meditation on his true nature. Then he will surely come right.
Word for word
Though the vāsanās for objects that have come down from time immemorial appear countless, like the waves of the sea, all of them will perish as meditation on one's true nature rises more and more. Without giving room even to the doubting thought "Can all those vāsanās subside, so that I remain as the [true] nature alone?", one must hold on to meditation on one's true nature without letting go. However great a sinner a person may be, if, instead of lamenting and weeping "I am a sinner; how am I ever going to be saved?", he completely eradicates even the thought that he is a sinner and is zealous in meditation on his true nature, he will certainly come right.
