In plain words

For one whose knowing has risen to that, through its waning, the waning of the jīva. But when he reflects on his own nature itself, awakened through the force of the descent of the Supreme Lord's power, then, desire being absent, there is no going outward for him, but always delight in the Self alone. So he says: That: the state of the fourth, the knower, pointed out before. Risen to it, intent on reflecting on it, is the knowing, the awareness, of a yogin: for him. That, in the second place, means: through the waning of desire. Of the jīva, the one carried along, that is, of the state of being the knower as puryaṣṭaka, there is the waning, the stilling. That is, he shines only as the knower who is consciousness. That is the meaning. As it says in the same place: "As one awakened does not see the things he experienced in a dream, so the yogin, through contemplation, does not see saṃsāra." And again: "Casting off the modes of being and non-being, resting in the inner state, leaving the net of constructs, through non-duality, the higher and the lower: the yogin who is ever devoted to his own Self, intent only on devouring time, sharing in the state of kaivalya: he would gain the state of nirvāṇa." Sharing in the state of kaivalya means not carried along by the senses and the tanmātras.
