In plain words

And further: Him we remember, the foe of Smara, whose remembrance stands as a lone hero in making the hard easy, and likewise in turning sorrow into happiness. ‘The foe of Smara’, that is, the one who brings about what is beyond the common. ‘Him we remember’, that is, we reflect on Him as not different from ourselves. Even the remembrance that belongs to Him, the Lord, is ‘a lone hero’ ‘in making the hard’, that is, samāveśa in the power of Rudra, which is hard because no other can bring it about, ‘easy’, that is, accomplished in mere play; and ‘likewise in turning sorrow’, that is, the bewilderment of māyā, the store of every sorrow, ‘into happiness’, that is, into what is made of supreme ānanda. ‘A lone hero’: made of a capacity that looks to no other, unobstructed.
