In plain words
Once again, welling up with the fullness of devotion, he says: Ah, how deep by its very nature, how terrible, is the ocean of saṃsāra! Ah, the supreme means of crossing it is the Great Lord, beyond telling! ‘Deep by its very nature’, since even Brahmā and the others cross it only with difficulty; ‘terrible’, that is, made of sorrow; and for that very reason like an ‘ocean’. ‘Beyond telling’: to be attained only by those rich in devotion, whose ultimate reality is cit alone, beyond compare. ‘The supreme means’: that which brings one at once, without any effort, to the farther shore. The two words ‘ah’ suggest the greatest wonder.
