रेतो होच्चक्राम ।तत्संवत्सरं प्रोष्यागत्योवाच कथमशकत मदृते जीवितुमिति ।ते होचुः यथा क्लीबा अप्रजायमाना रेतासा प्राणन्तः प्राणेन वदन्तो वाचा पश्यन्तश्चक्षुषा शृण्वन्तः श्रोत्रेण विद्वांसो मनसैवमजीविष्मेति ।प्रविवेश ह रेतः ॥बृह. ६,१.१२ ॥
In plain words
The seed went out. Having stayed away a year, it came back and said, "How could you live without me?" They said, "As eunuchs live, not begetting with the seed but breathing with the breath, speaking with speech, seeing with the eye, hearing with the ear, knowing with the mind — so we lived." And the seed entered in again.
