“Why go so far, brother-in-law? This whole immense universe is one great factory. In this factory every human being is like a component part of one kind or another. So whatever karma befits each part and falls to the lot of the human beings who are its components, they must do it, regarding it as the Paramātma's karma. Brother-in-law! Why say more? Tell me: in the world is there a single object or creature that does not work? Trees and shrubs, ants and mosquitoes, stones and rocks, wind, rain, sun and cold: every single one is always doing karma. If the sun, the moon and the rest did not do their karma, nothing would go on. If wind and fire did not do their karma, no work would get done. If earth and sky did not do their karma, the world would not stand. Do you hear?”
