In plain words
Embodiments of the divine Ātma! The yearning, the thirst to attain God and to see Him must grow in you. Offering your Ahaṅkāra and your showy ideals before His feet, you must plunge into Ānanda, longing for the direct vision of Him. You must make the hunger grow.
This is the great work done in the Kṛṣṇa Avatāra: He taught the path of Bhakti to the learned and the simple alike, and through the Gopīs and through the Pāṇḍavas Kṛṣṇa had the way of practising it handed to the world. Prema is free of selfishness; it is pure; it is holy; it is sweet. Prahlāda, intoxicated with Prema: the hardships and losses that befell him, the blame and the taunts, the cruelties and the torments. Forgetting them all, everywhere and at all times, he lived lost in Ānanda in singing the Name of the Lord alone. A pure heart, a spotless feeling, an unsullied faith: making these grow. He won the victory. Like Mīrā, you too must dedicate your lives to the service of the Paramātma alone, and, unable to bear separation from God even for a moment, strive to weep and weep. Through pure conduct, enjoying the Ānanda of the Ātma, many sādhus to this day offer up all they have and receive the presence of God.
