In plain words
The Seva Dal must give respect to the State President. This respect is not one way traffic. It must be given and received. Today, because the number of Sai organisations and of Sai devotees has grown large, some kinds of discipline have had to be enforced strictly. In truth Sai has no connection whatever with the Organisation. This Sai Organisation is your concern! Because you asked for direction, asked for guidance, we are giving you guidance; otherwise there is no connection between the Organisation and us. You set up the Organisation for your own sake. You must keep well the rules you have laid down for yourselves. Today the country is in a state of great turmoil. So we must share with everyone in the world this sacred idea called discipline. Today there is no use in mere preaching, no use in printing books and handing them out: you must practise and show it. That is the right way in the modern age. In the Modern age everyone keeps watching everything. So, the first thing we must do: see no evil, do no evil, do what is good, talk no evil, see what is good; talk what is good; that is the way to God. We must be ready for a life of this kind. We must see only good, enter into good, and always share only good with the world.
However sincerely you work in the Sai Organisation, so much will the fruit come to you
One more thing you must recognise well. You must not think that these Sai Organisations belong to Sai. You must think of the Sai Organisation as your very own. In this Sai Organisation you must not hold feelings of high and low: ‘I am a member, I am a president.’ You must work in this Organisation with the feeling that it is your own. You are a doctor in a hospital. You must not settle on that alone as your work. The Sai organisations may be connected a little with this birth only. But the fruit of the merit you earn in the Organisation may go with you through who knows how many births. This merit is simply what has been put on deposit in God's bank. In a bank, if you draw out the deposit, it is gone. But for those who have stored up the wealth of merit in God's bank, it does not run out through birth after birth.
