In plain words
You see! When they live with love for one another, when they live with this kind of cooperation, what divine cooperation our body shows! Forbearance lives in the body itself. Sympathy is in the body itself. The principle of Prema is in the body itself. The spirit of sacrifice is in the body itself. All these are in man himself and nowhere else.
Sin is not something apart in a foreign land; it clings to the deeds one does. God is not someone apart in a distant country; He clings to the deeds one does.
God or sin, it is all in our own actions. It is in the way we act. That is why: as the feeling, so the result. We went and stood before a mirror. We made it a salutation, to the reflection. Where did this salutation go? It gave that salutation right back to us. That salutation came right back to us. Or, if we strike the reflection in the mirror, the reflection strikes us. Whatever we do, whatever we see, whatever we say, for all of it there is Reaction, resound, reflection. That is why the people of Bhārata have held to the teaching of karma and its fruit. That is why we must do good. Doing good, we must enjoy good.
Seeing good, we must enjoy good. That is why, in the world, sacrifice is most necessary in every matter. If there is no sacrifice at all, there is no yoga. Without yoga at all, we never attain true Ānanda. Today we fall prey to diseases precisely because we do not sacrifice. How much well-being there is in sacrifice! You can see it well in the actions of daily life, of daily experience, from dawn till night. On one side we eat fruit. If the fruit we have eaten is not given up again as waste, the stomach is ruined. You see, on one side we load. On the other side we must unload. Otherwise our very health is spoilt. Then, we breathe in air. If the air we breathe in is not let out again, the lungs are ruined. Tell Me, how much well-being came from sacrifice! Here in our hand, at a certain place, there is blood. This blood must keep leaving that place moment by moment.
