In plain words

This is treachery. We must not forget Bhārata. We must believe in it and make a fitting effort to make it flourish. Even in a dream one must not think of betraying one's motherland. What flows in my body is the blood of Bhārata.

This is my motherland; this is my beloved mother tongue; this is my faith: unable to say so, striking his breast, is there on earth one such living corpse?

Truly, Bhārata is the land that has given the world spiritual leadership.

The good fortune of winning the Prema of God is our true wealth. We must make ourselves fortunate enough to win that principle of Prema. One who cannot win this principle of Prema can achieve nothing at all in the world. If you think God is far away, God stays far away. If you think He is near, God is within you. It is all a fault of seeing; there is no fault at all in creation. The Prema of God can in no way be won by keenness of intellect or by power of intellect. Only through pure Prema can the Prema of God be won. So we must achieve such Prema. The chief thing man must achieve in the world is the Prema of God. With the Prema of God we can achieve anything. We can reach any height, however high. So we must come under the Prema of God.

To be worthy of it, we must grasp that time, karma and duty are most necessary. Time is the form of God. Duty is God's command. Kariṣye vacanaṃ tava. Your command alone is what matters to me. So said Arjuna. Arjuna was very intelligent. He argued a great deal with Kṛṣṇa. The whole first chapter of the Gītā is Arjuna's grief. The water that comes in the tap has come from the tank. So we must make our connection with the tank. If we make our connection with that tank, the water will always be plentiful. “My kinsmen, my friends”: with these taps Arjuna made his connection. He argued so much with Kṛṣṇa. But who gave him this power? The one who is everywhere, in your body, in your Buddhi, in your Jñāna, is Prajñā; and not only that. He is constant Integrated awareness. It is present everywhere. Who has given it? It is God-given. But man thinks, “This is mine, mine.” That is a mistake. You must depend on the power of God. The man who depends on it in this way is the true man. The ideal man. We must strengthen our faith in God and make our life worthwhile.
