In plain words
All religions together have taught only the good; one must know this and live by it with understanding. If minds are good, what religion is bad? Listen, O heroic son of Bhārata.
You must make your minds good; it is not in your power to make the religion good. There is no use in it. It is a waste of time.
Without wasting our time, we must, with whole hearts and sacred feeling, serve society, honour our elders, love our mother, and nourish Śānti of mind in society. Ours is the human race. The race is all one! Colours may differ. Feelings may differ. Languages and forms may differ. But all belong to one race, to one family. Who is the father of this family called the human race? He is God. We must not forget that Father, at least. To trust the Father and carry out one's right duty in the family called the world is the chief mark, the aim, the key and the goal of man's education. One must work hard to reach such a goal.
Without character a man is no man at all
Girl students! You are not unaware of the outside world today. But when the girl students who have joined this college become examples, in contrast to it, it becomes possible to root out the evil ways, wrongs and injustices met outside. You must take a vow. You must set the country right.
"This is my motherland, this is my dear mother tongue, this is my religion": who cannot say this, beating his breast: is there on earth such a living corpse?
