Then we have taken a PhD degree. Now only one thing is wanted. Then that is all they look to, that is their one-pointedness. Marriage must happen. When this marriage madness gets into their heads, they see neither God nor the Divine. Very well. But at least serve your parents. If, satisfying neither your parents there nor Swami here, with no satisfaction in yourself, you pass your life just like dogs, what happiness is there for anyone? We expect nothing at all from them. Even to the PhD boys we ourselves give money. We ourselves pay for their studies. When it is like this, why should we keep such people here. So, in this matter, if there is no proper strictness from now on, we will have to close the Institution. Even a few good children are enough. We shall keep just those and pass our time with them. This is the root reason why I mean to give talks like this every evening. To have the children speak, and to show the children's faults to the children themselves. Who is a true guru? The one who shows a person his own faults is the true guru. If he accepts his faults himself, calls them good, and approves them, he becomes one who has badly spoilt those disciples. All this discipline brings your future to the royal road. But you do not recognise it. You are ruining your very life. This is something all students must recognise well.
Those who like to keep the rules laid down in this Institution to the letter may stay. Those who do not may go. You will have no trouble. But until your education is over, you agree nicely and make promises of many kinds, but all these are misses. Not one has kept his promise. There are so many children who have come new, with Bhakti, poor things. Do not make their hearts, their feelings impure. They have come in here with Bhakti that is steady, pure and selfless. All of you are playing these dramas for selfishness and self-interest. Try to see that none of your feelings reaches those new students. If faith in God is deep in every man, such ill feelings and these misdeeds cannot enter him at all. If you have true Prema for Swami, you must not change Swami's command at all, even at the cost of your life. From this one can tell: this is not true Prema. This is only artificial Prema. This artificial Prema cannot deceive Swami at all. You will only have deceived yourselves. Do not cheat yourself.
