In plain words
If Prema for God is there with a full heart, everything comes to us. So only when we experience Prema for God do the three guṇas come under our control. One who has mastered the three guṇas can master the three worlds. Without mastering them, what use is it to master however many other things?
Prahlāda, a small student, gives good counsel to his father, the great Hiraṇyakaśipu.
You conquered all the worlds within a moment, yet the host of the senses and the mind you cannot conquer....
O father, how many worlds you have won! How many kings you have humbled! How many kingdoms you have gained! But your own senses you cannot conquer. Conquering so many, what use is it? So the one who conquers outer kingdoms may become a king; the one who conquers the senses is king over kings, a king, a mahārāja. He can become an emperor. He becomes the emperor of the empire of the heart. So students must restrain the senses, set them on the sacred path, and take a firm vow to carry out your duties. Students must offer an ideal life. Make your hearts broad.
Today, wherever you look in the world, the atmosphere is polluted. Food is polluted. What we eat is polluted. Everything is full of pollution. How are we to purify this? Develop the one feeling of Prema and enter society. Staying right behind you, right in your home, right at your side and right before your eyes, God will give you the strength to win victory in every way. First of all you must strengthen such faith. Give up selfishness. Love what is for others. You must develop these three: love of God, fear of sin, right conduct in society.
