Every body is a temple of God! So we must try to change our divine humanness into divinity. We are human beings. We are those who stand at a higher level than the beasts. Only on the day we develop such high feelings and high resolves can we be called true human beings. We must lead such a life. We must develop such studies today.
There is no fault in the children. All children are very good! They have a pure, steady nature. The parents are spoiling these children. The teachers spoil them. That is why the state of the children is going down. The children have no respect for their father. What is the reason for this? The father does not recognise their nature and leaves them free to do as they like. Man must have a man's freedom, not a beast's freedom.
The end of wisdom is freedom, The end of culture is perfection, The end of knowledge is love, The end of education is character.
Only when it is like this can children rise to a good, high state. That is why parents must bear the responsibility for their children well. Today parents pay no attention at all. After the children are spoilt, they set about weeping. No, no. First of all we must teach our children well. ‘What are you doing, where are you going?’: such inquiry must be made. When children come home at night at two or three o'clock, the parents ask nothing at all. Then where is responsibility?
