Passage 9

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Man is fond only of the outward, not of the inner feeling. We must strive to set aside the outward and nourish the inner feeling.

Those very things were the doubts that came to Nana in those days. That same Nana, at the very last, could not leave Baba even for a moment. If Baba wished to draw on the hookah, Nana had to draw on it first and hand it to Baba. So close did Nana become. Baba would not eat without Nana. Nana would not eat without Baba. Such a bond of kinship had formed. But ordinary people cannot understand that. ‘Why must this one not eat without that one?’ they criticise, to some degree. That is My wish; who are you to tell Me? My feeling is like that. Only if Nana is there will I eat. So compassionate is God: 100% compassion 100% love. There is nothing beyond this. Everyone must understand this principle of Prema well. This very Prema is in all. So love all. We must not hate anyone. What is the reason? If we hate anyone, they hate us. reaction resound and reflection. In divinity all three are reflected. What anyone's birth was like at some time, and how this birth will turn out today, no one can say. For just such people, things come to pass without any cause. Though they do not long for it, God Himself longs for them and keeps drawing them. What is the reason? What was earned in a past life is itself the root cause. The seed of former days itself comes up today as a plant. Without a seed, how can a plant come? One evening, walking about on the beach, we saw nothing but sand. On the second day rain fell. The day after, we went to the beach and looked: green sprouts had come up. Yesterday there were no plants. If they look green today, it means they were there yesterday too. Yesterday it was there in the form of a seed. Today it appears in the form of a plant. Without yesterday's seed, the plant cannot come up today. This seed is not seen. The plant is seen. You hear the very thing you do not see. The very thing heard comes to mind. The very thing that comes to mind delights. The very thing that delights makes you forget. That which we do not see is delighting us.

Do not worry at all over the past life. When the time comes, the two will become one.
