Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Wait for God. Don't waste time. time waste is life waste. Each thing has its own bond. These ties of kinship do not come because someone says so. That is possible for nothing but divinity. Young people speak of free will. What does it mean; who has this free will? Nobody has it! ‘I must do some work or other,’ and so they say free will. At once doubts come, whether it will happen or not. Then where is free will? There must be no room even for that thought. That free will is nothing other than Divine power. No one has free will. You may be president of the world. Whatever work you want to do, you must be bound by certain rules. But God is bound by no constraint of any kind. He can do anything. That is free will. We must not use those words. Only divinity has free will. That alone is the true power. Man must try to live as man. You must behave like a man toward your fellow man. Do not behave like a beast among men. If you say namaskār to anyone, they say namaskār back. With whatever feeling we greet, the answer comes back with that same feeling. Speak well. Behave well. Conduct yourselves well. Earn a good name. You must become ideal persons. You must set about nurturing your character. Only then will our life earn the cry of ‘Jai!’
