Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

He may have the Vedas and Vedāṅgas by rote, he may be able to put together prose and verse; if he has no purity of citta, he is ruined. The word of Śrī Sai is the path that makes Satya known.

Embodiments of Prema!

With examples and grounds of many kinds, Śaṅkara went on proclaiming and teaching that the Veda is Dvaita and Vedānta is Advaita. The differences between the Veda and Vedānta are just like the difference between the human body and the limbs within the body! Eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet: all these are limbs of the body. Bodies are limbs of society, and society is a limb of humanity. This humanity is a limb of Prakṛti. Prakṛti is a limb of Paramātma. So when you go down deep and inquire into the differences between limb and limb, all of them are seen to be one. In Kāśī, at a gathering of paṇḍits, many problems came up, and in the end it led to a great deal of argument and counter-argument. At that moment Śaṅkara, smiling, ‘Through this arguing only enmity grows; peace does not come to the world. So ‘argument’ is not the right word for this. To resolve problems: that is man's chief problem,’ he made them understand.

Prema Alone Is the Remedy for All Cares

The whole of life takes shape as nothing but a festoon of problems. In human life not one moment free of care is to be seen.
