In plain words
Just as there are various limbs in the body, within God's body too there are forms of this kind. But all forms too are nothing but the form of God. ‘Sahasra śīrṣā puruṣaḥ sahasrākṣa sahasrapāt’: so what do a thousand eyes mean? Everyone's eyes are the very eyes of God. Everyone's heads too are the very heads of God. Everyone's feet too are the very feet of God. Only when we develop a faith as broad as this do we become people who have understood what divinity is. Yet when we see a Nandi of stone, we bow down. When they see a living Nandi, they put it through all kinds of hardship and beat it. We punish what is alive. We worship what is lifeless.
All Names and Forms Are God's Own
This itself is the great Ajñāna in human beings. All forms too are the form of God itself. All names too are nothing but the names of God. We must first of all try to recognise this truth. In every living being, from the ant up to Brahmā, He Himself is present; that is why: O God! There is no way to describe You. Who has the power to praise You! Who has the power to praise You! Who can praise You? Who can describe You? No one can describe You.
Subtler than the atom is Your form, beyond all reckoning, greater than the great; the eighty-four lakhs of living beings You never leave, they say, at any time; in the atom, the speck, the grass and the stick of wood, You shine, they say, as the unbroken form; the master thief among mighty thieves: can we ever find You, Kṛṣṇa!
