Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Satya is the mother, Jñāna the father, Dharma the brother, compassion the friend; Śānti the wife, forbearance the son: these six are all one's kin.

Embodiments of Prema!

In the world every person has a mother of his own. But all the human beings in the world have one single mother. We must recognise that mother. For the physical world and for worldly life, understanding the principle of the Supreme is very hard. Even for every person who travels the path of pravṛtti, understanding Divinity is very necessary. Every human being has a Mother Goddess. Those who follow that Goddess meet with no troubles of any kind. That Mother is unsublated in all three times, and She is the sovereign of the three worlds. She is beyond the three guṇas. This very one is Satya. A natural mother may die, may change. She may change her place. But this mother, the mother called Satya, is the one and only mother for any country, for any time, for any person, on any day at all. Such a divine, majestic, ever-new, fitting mother, the very essence, is Satya. It is most essential that every person regard this Satya as mother, believe in it and follow it. Satya has no change. What bears one single form in all three times is this Satya.

Then What Is Jñāna?

“Pitā jñānam,” they said. Who is the father? Jñāna. When we say Jñāna, there are many kinds of Jñāna: worldly Jñāna, physical Jñāna, scientific Jñāna. But this is not Jñāna. The vision of non-duality is Jñāna. Jñāna is precisely faith in the feeling that the Ātma is one. That very Jñāna is the embodiment of Satya. This very thing the Veda declared: “Satyaṃ jñānam anantaṃ brahma.” So Satya itself is the mother's form for every human being. Jñāna itself is the father.
