In plain words
He offered all of these to Vāmana Himself. “There is nothing that is mine. Everything is God's alone,” and with these words Bali made the offering and completed his yajña. Vāmana grew, and grew. He filled the whole of the universe. Then Śukrācārya: “Do you see now, Emperor Bali? Did I not warn you beforehand that He could take over the very universe? You trusted Him and are being deceived,” he said. Vāmana means one who is very short. But He took on a form greater than the whole world. The human level has its limits, but God is One without any limits at all. Accepting the gift, Vāmana praised Emperor Bali's large heart. Emperor Bali was one who never broke the word he had spoken. But in this Kali age people give their word, and they break every one. In that age there was no one who gave his word and broke it.
Everything in creation happens only by God's command
Every day, by a fixed rule, the sun rises and the sun sets. Who ordained this? The stars in the sky appear as an adornment to the sky itself. But by day alone they are not seen. Scientists have carried out many researches and investigations into the reason for this. They concluded that the stars are not seen because there is so much light in the daytime. In just the same way, they have gone on guessing about the divine power in many ways. Everything in creation has always gone on only by God's command. God too keeps His own rules.
Why does the sun, never failing his order, every day in the sky reach his rising and his setting? The stars that adorn the sky with light: why do they hide by day alone? Why does the wind, taking not a moment's rest, blow to keep the host of living beings alive? Why does the river, ceaselessly laughing with a rippling sound, flow on in the form of water?
