Passage 8

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Then everyone in this world will become your friend. In truth there is no such one as an enemy in the world. Where is there a second? Only when there is a second person can one say, ‘This man is my enemy,’ is it not? There is no second person at all. All are only drifting clouds. You trust such drifting clouds, but you cannot trust Divinity, which is unmoving, pure and selfless. You forget ‘Divine Love’, fall into the drunkenness of ‘deep wine love’ for nothing but worldly things, and waste your life.

Embodiments of Prema! If you want to know Divinity, develop the feeling of the one Ātma. Only then will God appear before your very eyes. Regard God alone as your mother, your father and your friend. Do not leave God aside and chase after passing pleasures. If you want to know true Prema, believe in God. The Prema of God never wavers. At all times you are His alone! He is yours alone! All else is nothing but your delusion! No one goes with you. You alone are your own companion. So trust yourself. Only then can you recognise Satya.

Prema itself is God

Embodiments of Prema! Prema itself is God. So live in Prema. Only then will you understand the true principle. After that, whatever anyone may say, you need not listen to their words. Follow your own conscience. Whatever the circumstances, never lose your faith in God. When you enter the path of God, even your parents may stand in your way; they may discourage you. Tell them, in a way they can understand, that our mother, father, guru and friend are all God alone. Your mother is the one who bore you, nurtured you and brought you up. Your father is the one who sustains you and has you taught learning and good sense. The guru is the one who imparts Jñāna to you. You call one ‘mother’, one ‘father’, one ‘guru’ according to worldly experience, but such ties of relationship are not Satya.
